I have dogs in my clinic frequently that have gotten into the trash. One most notable was last Thanksgiving when a dog ate an entire turkey carcass… Sometimes surgery is needed.
I received the garbage can today, I really think that it is going to work!!! What a great idea!!! It's about time someone came up with it!!! Thanks again!!!

Doggy+Safe is Wolf-Proof as well!

Dear Doggy+Safe,
I could not believe that Wakonda, our most "cantankerous" Wolf didn't get in to your trash can! I was sure he could. Click here to see the video.

Dear Doggy+Safe,
I would absolutely positively without a doubt recommend your trash cans to anyone with a dog!!! Biscuit & Zoe's method of getting into our old trash can was to pull on the small bit of plastic bag that hung over the can until it fell over—then they'd gorge. So for the first few days with the doggy+safe, we would come home to find the bag overhang looking a little shredded, but the can was still standing & securely locked! But after those first maybe 3 days, they haven't even tried to get in there!

I never thought I'd be one of those people who would stand in awe & wonder at a garbage can, but I do! I am such a happy dog guardian, and my girls' tummies are much happier without the trash in them! Now if I could only get them to stop stealing all the covers at night...... :) Thanks SO VERY VERY MUCH!!!!! — Tracy

Dear Doggy+Safe,
My name is Sue Miller and I am the owner of Kruisin' Kritters Rescue and Education. I want to thank you for a wonderful and most useful product. In rescue a lot of dogs come thru that have been given up because they won't stay out of the trash, or many have been on the street so long that they have trash can raiding down to a fine art! Your Doggy-Safe trash can has solved one of the most annoying problems. I have tested it on Mastiffs, Anatolians, Wolf Hi-Breds, 1 whippet X, and pot belly pig. It passed with flying colors. Not one of the dogs or the pig were able to tip it over or unhook the lid, and no one could get it off the hook that attached to the cabinet. This has solved a major problem for me as I was always picking up trash cans that someone got into. I also discovered that they are wonderful storage containers for animal food. I am able to put 75lbs. of pot belly pig food in 1 can, keeping it safe from the wildlife critters.

I have been in the pet industry for 35+ years, owning a retail store for 17 of those years. I was always asked how to stop trash raiding, until now there was never a good answer. Please include me in your list of very satisfied customers. I will be happy to recommend Doggy-Safe to my future adopting families for their new furry family additions. Thank you. — Sue Miller

good dogs, now!

Original Model PT-1 shown above.

Dear Doggy+Safe,
We (all) wanted to take a second to thank you for the Doggy+Safe trash can. The can has been in use for three days that we were out of the house, so far.

On the first day it withstood a concentrated assault. It was shoved out into the middle of the kitchen floor (we elected to try it without the hookup to the cabinet) and showed evidence of drooling and quite a bit of scratching by our younger, yellow dog. It did not fall over, nor did they get the top open. On the second day, it also showed evidence of scratching, but hadn't been moved much at all. Today (with even better stuff in it), they appparently left it alone.

I wish I had a webcam set up so I could have seen the whole battle, but the only picture I have is attached (see photo above). We are very satisfied with the product. — Mike and Alice

dora the explorer!

Dear Doggy+Safe,
Thank god we found you. My husband gets home from work first, and he's been cleaning it up almost daily for some weeks now. Luckily, he's fairly even tempered, but for how long? Dora is the culprit, a 6 year-old incredibly insecure white boxer who has lived with me for the past 5 years. Sampson is our pug, and he just shivers under the couch when Dora gets in trouble. They are both totally loved & totally spoiled, hence our plea to put us on your list as soon as you get another shipment!! We would happily pay in advance, if that would be helpful or possible. Please write back. Thank you. — Kelli & Wyatt

Dear Doggy+Safe,
We have had your doggy-safe trash can for a couple of months now.  Initially, I was excited and anxious to see our two 100+ pound Malamutes “test” the new trash can.  Usually if there is trash left out in our home—it ends up strewn throughout the house, and reading the other testimonials I could relate to their irritation of coming home to the messes.  To my dismay, they never once have tested the limits of the trash can. I guess that from the start it was just too imposing to our inquisitive and mischievous  dogs.  No scratching, clawing or trying to knock it over.  So despite my disappointment of not being able to witness the doggy vs. trash can throwdown, I have been extremely satisfied with your product.  It’s great to have a trash can back in our kitchen. Thanks again, — The Chapman Family
